# Explanation: Maximum Speed Sign on a Lane
The maximum speed sign painted on a specific lane applies **only to that lane**, not to the entire road. This regulation allows different lanes to have different speed limits according to their characteristics or traffic conditions. For example, one lane may be limited to 60 km/h while other lanes have different limits.
