When approaching a vehicle stopped on the carriageway, is it mandatory to reduce speed?
A)Yes, on any type of road.
B)No.
C)Only on roads outside built-up areas.Correct
Drivers are required to drive their vehicles at a moderate speed and, if necessary, to stop when traffic, road, and visibility conditions demand it, including, among other cases, outside built-up areas when approaching vehicles stopped on the carriageway. Within built-up areas, vehicles are parked on the carriageway and it is not necessary to reduce speed when passing beside them. We will do so if we perceive any dangerous situation (for example, a door opening).
