As a general rule, loading and unloading operations shall be carried out off the road. If it is essential to carry them out on the road, the following rules must be observed:
- If possible, they shall be carried out on the side of the vehicle closest to the edge of the carriageway.
- The rules on stopping and parking must be respected and, in built-up areas, those issued regarding times and locations.
- It is prohibited to deposit goods on the carriageway, hard shoulder or pedestrian areas.
- The necessary means shall be used to do so quickly, avoiding dangers, noise and unnecessary inconvenience.
