Where may a pedestrian pushing a cart walk?
A)Only in the pedestrian zone.
B)Only on the carriageway.
C)In the pedestrian zone, or on the hard shoulder or carriageway if they could obstruct the way.Correct
Pedestrians are required to use the pedestrian zone, except when it does not exist or is not practicable; in such cases, they may use the hard shoulder or, failing that, the carriageway.
However, even when a pedestrian zone exists, the following may use the hard shoulder or, if it does not exist or is impassable, the carriageway, provided they take the necessary precautions:
a) Anyone carrying a bulky object or pushing or pulling a small non-motorised vehicle, if using the pedestrian zone or hard shoulder would cause considerable obstruction to other pedestrians.
b) Any group of pedestrians led by a person or forming a procession.
c) A person with a disability travelling in a wheelchair, with or without a motor, at walking pace.
