Will having tyres with low pressure affect fuel consumption?

Will having tyres with low pressure affect fuel consumption?
A)No, consumption will not be affected.
B)Yes, the vehicle will consume less fuel.
C)Yes, the vehicle will consume more fuel.Correct
It is important to check the tyre pressure at least 1 or 2 times a month. We will do it cold and respecting the pressures recommended by the manufacturer. It must be borne in mind that a tyre with incorrect pressure wears out irregularly, presents a higher risk of suffering a blowout and can increase fuel consumption.

* With a pressure lower than that indicated by the manufacturer:
- They wear more on the edges.
- They deform and heat up more.
- The risk of blowout increases.
- Grip decreases and the risk of aquaplaning increases (the tyres cannot dispel the layer of water on the road and lose grip).
- Consumption increases.

* With a pressure higher than that indicated by the manufacturer:
- They wear more in the centre.
- The contact area with the road and grip decrease.
- They do not absorb the irregularities of the terrain well (they vibrate more and the suspension deteriorates).
