If your vehicle is recently registered, it will be exempt from the ITV (technical inspection) for...
A)4 years.Correct
B)2 years.
C)5 years.
The first technical inspection of our vehicle, the passenger car, must be passed at 4 years of age. After this first inspection, subsequent ones will be passed every 2 years until the vehicle is 10 years old, after which inspections will be annual, that is:
- Up to 4 years old, exempt.
- From 4 to 10 years, every two years.
- More than 10 years, annually.

The results of the inspection may be:

- Favorable: the vehicle is fit to drive. If it has minor defects, they must be repaired without the need to attend a new inspection.
- Unfavorable: when the inspection reveals defects in the vehicle that seriously affect its safety conditions, the inspecting body will retain the I.T.V. card and provide its holder with a receipt for it, valid only for the period indicated to remedy the defects, and for the planned itinerary of the vehicle's movement to the workshop where it must be repaired and its return for new inspection.
- Negative: the vehicle is not allowed to drive. The transfer of the vehicle from the station to its destination will be carried out by means other than the vehicle itself (tow truck).
