B)Yes, in the arms of an adult.
C)Yes, with an approved restraint device.Correct
The seats of vehicles are built and adapted for transporting adults, both in size and weight. When transporting children, an appropriate restraint system for the child's weight and height must be installed. This way, in case of an accident or sudden braking, the restraint system will work correctly.
In vehicles with up to nine seats, including the driver, minors of a height equal to or less than 1.35 meters must use approved child restraint systems duly adapted to their height and weight, and must be placed in the rear seats.
Exceptionally, they may occupy the front seat, provided they use approved child restraint systems duly adapted to their height and weight, in the following cases:
- When the vehicle does not have rear seats.
- When all the rear seats are already occupied by minors of a height equal to or less than 135 cm.
- When it is not possible to install all the child restraint systems in those seats.
If they occupy the front seats and the vehicle has a frontal airbag, they may only use rear-facing restraint systems if the airbag has been deactivated. (Image 2)
Child restraint systems will always be installed in the vehicle in accordance with the instructions provided by the manufacturer.
