What lateral distance should we leave when overtaking a motorcycle in a built-up area?
A)1 metre.
B)1.5 metres.
C)Proportional to the speed, width and characteristics of the carriageway.Correct
When overtaking pedestrians, animals, two-wheeled or animal-drawn vehicles, vehicles immobilised on the road, or assistance vehicles when they are carrying out assistance and rescue operations outside a built-up area, the manoeuvre must be carried out occupying part or all of the adjacent lane of the carriageway.
If there is more than one lane in our direction, the adjacent lane must be fully invaded, with a lane change being mandatory when overtaking cycles, mopeds or a group of them.
In any case, the lateral separation will not be less than 1.50 metres.

When overtaking a vehicle other than the above, or the overtaking takes place in a built-up area and is not of a cycle or moped, a lateral safety margin proportional to the speed and the width and characteristics of the carriageway will be left.

When overtaking a cycle or moped in a built-up area, we must leave a lateral separation of not less than 1.50 metres, just as we do outside a built-up area.
