If we are on a dead-end street and we need to reverse to leave it, how shall we perform that manoeuvre?
A)Travelling a maximum of 15 metres.
B)Travelling the necessary distance but without invading an intersection.
C)Travelling the minimum essential distance, even invading an intersection.Correct
As a general rule, driving in reverse is prohibited, except in the following cases on an exceptional basis and always for the minimum essential distance:

1. As a complementary manoeuvre to stopping, parking or joining traffic. In this case the reverse distance may not exceed 15 metres or invade an intersection.
2. When it is not possible to move forward or change direction or sense of travel. In this case there is no limit to the reverse distance, even being able to invade an intersection if necessary.

The reverse manoeuvre is prohibited on dual carriageways and motorways.
