During the day and in dense fog, can we use high-beam headlights?
A)No, we can only use front and rear fog lights.
B)Yes, and also together with the rear fog light.Correct
C)No, when there is dense fog it is forbidden to use high-beam headlights.
High-beam light can be used as long as we do not dazzle other users and we are not in a built-up area.
In dense fog, its use is permitted but not recommended, as the beam of light may reflect off the suspended water droplets. This may dazzle other users we cannot see, or even dazzle ourselves.
In heavy rain something similar happens, as the light reflects off the road markings and can be disturbing. That is why it is most advisable to always use low-beam headlights and the rear fog light mandatorily.
