Once the consolidated text of the Law on Traffic, Motor Vehicle Circulation and Road Safety came into force on 21 March 2022, the section that allowed exceeding the maximum established speed on conventional roads by 20 km/h was eliminated. Therefore, from that date onwards, exceeding the speed limit referred to in that section is no longer permitted. BOE of 20 December 2021, entry into force on 21 March 2022.
