How will we act if our vehicle skids?
A)We will turn the steering wheel to the opposite side from where the rear wheels are skidding.
B)We will stop braking immediately.Correct
C)We will press the clutch pedal all the way down.
Skids are caused by loss of grip of the wheels. The most frequent causes are:
- Sudden or improper use of the vehicle controls (main cause). - Excessive speed with worn tyres or low pressure, shock absorbers and brakes in poor condition, and slippery pavement.

If when braking our vehicle skids, it will be due to wheel locking, so when we stop braking the vehicle will also stop skidding. If the skid is at the rear of the vehicle, we must turn the steering wheel to the same side towards which the rear wheels are skidding, that is, if the rear of the vehicle is going to the left, we will also turn the steering wheel to the left.
