If the tyre suffers wear on the sides of the tread, what may be the cause?

A)That the tyres have higher pressure than that recommended by the manufacturer.
B)That the tyres have lower pressure than that recommended by the manufacturer.Correct
C)That the shock absorbers are in poor condition.
It is important to check tyre pressure at least 1 or 2 times a month. We will do it cold and respecting the pressures recommended by the manufacturer. Keep in mind that a tyre with incorrect pressure wears irregularly, presents a higher risk of blowout and may increase fuel consumption.
* With pressure lower than that indicated by the manufacturer:
- They wear more on the sides of the tread.
- They deform and heat up more.
- The risk of blowout increases.
- Grip decreases and the risk of aquaplaning increases (the tyres cannot displace the layer of water on the road and lose grip).
- Consumption increases.
* With pressure higher than that indicated by the manufacturer:
- They wear more in the centre.
- The contact area with the road and grip decrease.
- They do not absorb terrain irregularities well (they vibrate more and the suspension deteriorates).
