How should you drive in snow?
A)With the hazard lights on.
B)Braking and accelerating gently.Correct
C)On the shoulder.
When driving on ice or snow we run the risk of the vehicle skidding. If we use a short gear ratio, these will have too much power and the wheels will only skid on the ice or snow. On the other hand, if we use a long gear ratio, the wheels will not skid as much since they will not have too much power.
To start off in snow we must do so using second or third gear to prevent the wheels from skidding.
When driving we should try to use the longest gear possible, accelerating and braking very gently.
Remember that in such situations the braking distance increases considerably, so we must drive with caution and adapt the safety distance accordingly.
