To drive a car with a trailer of less than 750 kg MAM, what licence, at minimum, is needed?

The class B licence authorises driving motor vehicles whose maximum authorised mass does not exceed 3,500 kilograms and whose number of seats, including the driver's, does not exceed 9. Such motor vehicles may tow a trailer whose maximum authorised mass does not exceed 750 kilograms. We may also tow trailers exceeding 750 kg provided that the MAM of the combination does not exceed 3,500 kg. If we exceed this, the weight of the combination may be up to 4,250 kg but only by requesting an authorisation (B96).
