We must check our mirrors frequently. What happens around us changes constantly and very quickly, so it is important to be prepared for any unexpected situation that may arise.
Mirrors should be checked continuously even when not performing any manoeuvre:
- On urban roads and roads with heavy traffic: every 5–10 seconds.
- On roads with no traffic and dual carriageways/motorways: every 10–15 seconds.
