The square traffic light for each lane obliges...

A)three- and four-wheeled vehicles only.
B)all vehicles travelling on the carriageway.
C)vehicles travelling in the lane where the traffic light is located.Correct
When lane signals exist on a carriageway, there will normally be one signal for each lane. In this way, depending on which lane we are in, we must obey the signal located directly above it.
- A red light in the shape of a cross indicates the prohibition of occupying the lane above which it is lit for those vehicles towards which the light is directed. Drivers of vehicles travelling in a lane above which such a red light is activated must leave it in the shortest possible time.
- A green light in the shape of a downward-pointing arrow indicates that it is permitted to travel in the lane above which it is lit. This authorisation to use the lane does not exempt the obligation to stop at a circular red light or, by exception to the provisions on the order of precedence, to obey any other sign or road marking that requires stopping or giving way, or in their absence, compliance with the general rules on right of way.
- A white or amber light in the shape of an intermittent or fixed arrow, not incorporated into a direction sign, placed above a lane and pointing downward obliquely, indicates to users the need to merge safely into the lane towards which the arrow points, since the lane they are travelling in will be closed in a short distance.
