In an area marked for loading and unloading, is parking generally permitted?

A yellow zigzag marking indicates the part of the carriageway where parking is prohibited for vehicles in general, as it is reserved for a special use that does not involve any vehicle remaining for a long period. It is generally used in bus stop zones (not parking) or areas designated for loading and unloading of vehicles, as in this question. In loading and unloading zones, parking is generally prohibited, unless a period of use is indicated by signs, in which case parking is permitted outside the indicated hours.
