B)Yes, the type of road is irrelevant.
C)No, it is always prohibited on motorways and dual carriageways.Correct
As a general rule, driving in reverse is prohibited, except in the following cases on an exceptional basis and always covering the minimum indispensable distance:
1. As a complementary maneuver for stopping, parking, or joining traffic. In this case, the reverse distance may not exceed 15 metres or encroach upon a road junction.
2. When it is not possible to move forward or change direction or sense of travel. In this case there is no limit on the reverse distance, and it may even encroach upon a road junction if necessary.
On motorways and dual carriageways it is completely prohibited to:
- Change the direction of travel, except at places designated for that purpose.
- Reverse.
- Enter the central reservation or its transverse passages.
