On an interurban road with two-way traffic, is it permitted to stop or park on the left-hand side?
A)Yes, to programme the vehicle's navigation system.
B)Yes, to answer an urgent phone call.
C)No, under no circumstances.Correct
As a general rule, stopping or parking on interurban roads must always be carried out off the carriageway, on the right-hand side of it, leaving the passable part of the hard shoulder clear.
On urban roads it may be done on the carriageway and the hard shoulder, even if the latter is passable, provided a clear space of at least 3 metres is left. If the road is one-way, it may be done on both sides, and if it is two-way, on the right-hand side only.
